Hitting the Slopes

Hello from Patagonia!

Today we finally hit the slopes! After an early morning wakeup and breakfast in our cozy hostel, the crew loaded up and headed deep into the mountains of Tierra del Fuego to Cerro Castor. By 10 AM we were riding the lifts, floating atop the freshly frosted forests. The weather, unsettled, gave us everything from fog to drizzle to snowfall and peaks of the surrounding mountain valleys. Here’s a taste of our day:

Searching out fresh tracks, skiers hiked up a ridge at Cerro Castor.

A solid day under our belts, the crew enjoys much deserved hot chocolate.

Tomorrow the forecast calls for clearing weather and we’re headed back up the mountain. More updates to come…

¡Hasta pronto!
